12 teams, 48 curlers had a great time during the Kenora Winter Carnival at 89.5 the Lake’s 5th Annual “Curling for a Cause” funspiel at the Keewatin Curling Club.  A total of $2,642.50  was raised, exceeding the goal of $2500 towards the purchase of a $2500 sleep chair for the Hospital.

Many teams got into the spirit and dressed up in the theme of Heroes, Villains and Voyageurs.  Best dressed team was the Rock Busters.  For some photos, see 89.5 the Lake’s facebook page

Huge thanks to the Keewatin Curling Club for donating their facility free of charge and the kitchen staff for donating and preparing the wonderful pancake breakfast.  Thanks also to these local businesses for donating prizes:  Canadian Tire, Blue Heron, Dingwall Ford, King Furniture, Wolframe’s World of Water, Edgewater Natural Health, Domino’s Pizza and 89.5 the Lake!
