This June, the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation (LWDHF) is partnering with the Kenora Cat Shelter and It’s a Dog’s Life to launch Whiskers & Winnings; a special month-long 50/50 lottery that brings together compassionate care for both people and animals across our community. Running exclusively throughout the month of June, the lottery will help fund essential equipment upgrades for Nutrition and Food Services at Lake of the Woods District Hospital (LWDH), supporting the care, comfort, and experience of patients and families close to home. At the same time, the initiative will help increase visibility for adoptable pets currently in the care of both local shelters.
