We Want You – LWDHF is seeking new members for our Board of Directors!

Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation (LWDHF) is seeking extraordinary individuals and community leaders to join our Board of Directors in 2022/23.

LWDHF is dedicated to fundraising in partnership with our community to meet the medical equipment and facility needs of Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Most medical equipment has a useful life of 8-10 years, and medical technology is advancing rapidly. Perpetually providing funds for new medical equipment at Lake of the Woods District Hospital (LWDH) not only ensures the continuation of existing services locally – advances in technology can also help expand services offered which help to ensure the Hospital is able to deliver exceptional healthcare.

This is an exciting time for the Foundation as it begins to develop a new Strategic Direction and a new fundraising vision. The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation Board is a volunteer Board of Directors who actively raise funds and guide the Foundation’s direction. As a passionate ambassador for the Foundation, the role of a Foundation Director is to provide philanthropic guidance and opportunities, raise awareness of the Hospital, and to connect with the community that the Hospital and its Foundation so proudly serve.

If you have superb networking, experience developing corporate partnerships and fundraising skills, combined with a desire to support, and have an impact on the future of patient care in Northwestern Ontario, this Board opportunity may be the right one for you. Ideal candidates are deeply committed to the mission and values of the Foundation. In keeping with our commitment to diversity, the Board seeks to balance representation in terms of experience and background. Board terms are three years in length. Directors are eligible to serve for a maximum of nine consecutive years.

To be considered a candidate; please submit a resume, along with a letter outlining the reasons why you want to join our Board of Directions to Mira Trebilcock, Executive Director of LWDHF at lwdhf@lwdh.on.ca by Friday, October 7, 2022.
