23rd Annual OPP Cst. Marv Forsythe Memorial Golf Tournament raises $3,500 to support enhanced patient care close to home

The 23rd Annual OPP Cst. Marv Forsythe Memorial Golf Tournament was a success, raising $3,500 for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation. On Friday August 16, 112 golfers gathered at Beauty Bay to support the cause. Following a shotgun start, they enjoyed a day with lots of socializing and just a little competitiveness. The fun continued into the evening with dinner and prizes. Local businesses generously donated tremendous raffle items.
Dennis O’Sullivan, the event organizer, reported that the overall winners were The Kenora Jail Team, consisting of Brady Myles, Kurt Savage, Sturn Vigfuusson and Jaxon Savage.
Donations received from the Golf Tournament will be directed to essential medical equipment in the Chemotherapy unit at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. It was a fun event and a fantastic way to remember OPP Cst. Marv Forsythe by giving back to the community so generously.
We are grateful for all the time and energy shared by Dennis and Alice O’Sullivan, as well as their family and friends who helped organize this remarkable community event.
