“Like many others, we found out about the campaign because it was all over Facebook,” said Margo Bratland. “We said, ‘Oh wow – we need to do something about this!’” which led to a generous $10,000 donation to the Beyond The Scan Campaign from Bratland’s Insurance and Financial Inc. and Co-operators Ins.
“We insure just about everything, and our business covers residents here in Kenora, but also across the entire Northwest region,” said Margo. “Our donation was a great way to support our family, friends and community.”
“We’re extremely excited to have this new diagnostic imaging equipment in Kenora – it’s so wonderful for our area. Keeping people in the comfort of their own homes – the importance of that can’t be understated,” she said.
“Personally, I’m thrilled with the advanced mammography equipment that we’re funding. My mother had breast cancer and I have to go every year for a mammogram. Not only that, we have 5 daughters – 3 of whom live in Kenora, along with 2 out west. Knowing our entire family, including multiple grandchildren, will have access to the care they need here is what really made us hop on the bandwagon and make our donation. How could we not?”
