Dr. Drake and Angela, RPN from the Emergency Department at Lake of the Woods District Hospital were recently recognized by a patient’s family member with a Gift of Gratitude – through the Grateful Patient Program.
The family wished to sincerely acknowledge Dr. Drake and Nurse Angela for the exceptional care and kindness they demonstrated during a visit to the Emergency Department. They went above and beyond to make a difficult experience more positive—taking time to share fun videos and bring a smile to their little one, even while knowing how unwell they were feeling.
While the family expressed ongoing gratitude for the consistent compassion shown by the entire Emergency Department team, they shared that the thoughtfulness and care shown on this particular day truly stood out. The genuine effort to comfort and uplift their patient made a meaningful and lasting impression.
