Par 3 Charity Challenge 2025

5th Annual Par 3 Charity Challenge Drives Forward Local Healthcare

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kenora, ON – July 14, 2025

The Lake of the Woods District Hospital (LWDH) Foundation is thrilled to announce the 5th Annual Par 3 Charity Challenge, driven by The Dingwall Group, returned to the beautiful Kenora Golf & Country Club on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

This all-inclusive, high-energy 18-hole tournament has become a summer staple in our region, bringing together businesses, sponsors, and golfers with a shared purpose: ensuring our hospital has the tools and technology needed to deliver exceptional patient care, close to home.

Now in its fifth year, the tournament reached new heights with 144 enthusiastic golfers and an impressive roster of community support, including seven Presenting Sponsors and Donors, eleven Platinum Sponsors, dozens of corporate teams, and many additional contributors. The event also featured over $1,000,000 in hole-in-one prizes, adding extra excitement to every swing, and a special 60-foot putting contest that gave ten lucky golfers the chance to win $5,000 cash each.

This year’s tournament raised an outstanding $202,533 in support of local healthcare. Since its inception, the Par 3 Charity Challenge has now raised more than $895,000 towards vital capital medical equipment at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Past proceeds have funded essential items such as 15 new stretchers for the Emergency Department and a mobile digital x-ray machine for Diagnostic Imaging.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament are directed toward the purchase of a new anesthesia machine, a critical investment in surgical safety and precision. This upgraded equipment will support real-time monitoring, help surgical teams operate with greater accuracy, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

“The new anesthesia machine is a critical piece of every surgical case at our hospital,” said Dr. Stephane Foidart, Anesthesiologist at LWDH. “This new piece of equipment will be instrumental in providing more comfortable and efficient surgical care at LWDH.”

Laci Dingwall, a Foundation Board Member, tournament organizer, and title sponsor through The Dingwall Group, reflected on the impact of the tournament: “It’s incredible to see what this event has become in just five years. The energy, the generosity, and the impact keep growing and that’s a direct reflection of our community’s commitment to local healthcare.”

Thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors, participants once again enjoyed 18 action-packed par-3 holes, interactive contests, and a vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie and giving, all in support of the hospital that serves us all.

As we celebrate five years of fun, fundraising, and impact, we look forward to driving it even further #FOREYOURHOSPITAL.
