The latest winner of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation’s 50/50 draw is taking home the draw’s largest monthly jackpot in 2026 (and in fact, the draw’s largest monthly jackpot since last summer, with the exception of the Holiday 2025 jackpot).
Lana Tuesday from Morson, Ontario received the great news on Friday that she’d won $25,755, with winning ticket 94014486.
“This is amazing,” she said. “This is really amazing!”
A loyal monthly purchaser in the LWDHF 50/50, Lana purchased her tickets early in the draw and was eligible for both Early Bird Draws of $1,000 (on Apr 10 & 24) plus the Grand Prize Jackpot Draw on May 1.
“It absolutely pays to buy early in the month,” said Mira Trebilcock, Executive Director, Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation. “Not only are you guaranteeing yourself a spot in the Jackpot Draw to win thousands like Lana, but you also have additional chances to win our extra cash prizes throughout the month.”
In May, buying early comes with even more chances to win. For those who purchase by May 7 at 11:59 p.m. CDT, they will be entered to win:
- $1,000 Early Bird Draw (May 8)
- 2 x $500 Bonus Draws (May 15)
- $1,000 Early Bird Draw (May 22)
- And the Grand Prize Jackpot Draw (May 29). Take home prize is 50% of sales.

The LWDHF 50/50 is a monthly charitable lottery that raises funds to support healthcare at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Starting this month, proceeds will support enhancements in the Nutrition and Food Services Department at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, including a new Rational Oven. In the past year, the Department served 64,922 patient meals, along with providing food for a busy cafeteria, and internal catering for the Hospital. The addition of Rational Oven will greatly enhance the service provided as this equipment is equipped with an intelligent cooking assistant that continuously and independently monitors the cooking process; a huge help to the two cooks!
